3D Model of School

This is the first version of the school rendered in Lumion. I plan to add more with subsequent versions. Below are the plans and sections used to create the model.

Plans and Sections

The plan below is a reimagining of the Villa Marea by Alvar Aalto. I felt that this plan resonated with me due to its variety of small and large spaces. It also had interesting forms to work with such as the pool, left-most wing and the wall.
This was the initial plan I had in mind. I would mirror the design of the pool to turn it into studio spaces. I also transformed the wall into a lecture hall by upscaling it.

This is a revised version of the plan previously made. It is essentially the same design with minor adjustments. I modified the recreational area and rearranged the positions of a few spaces.

This is the third rendition of the plan. This plan has the most drastic changes so far. I repositioned everything and also removed a few spaces such as the library and recreational rooms. I made the lecture theatre rectangular instead of triangular and added a food court.

After browsing through my fellow classmates' blogs, I found that some decided to rearrange everything in the plan. Taking this into consideration, I came up with this compact plan. Much like the third plan, it does not have a library but instead the recreational rooms have been added back in.
This plan was created with the brief in mind. I rearranged shapes and sizing elements to create a relatively bridge like structure.

This is the first section I drew with floor plans 1 and 2 in mind. It has a "floaty" feel to it.

This is the section with plan 3 in mind.
This section was with plan 4 in mind.
For my final design, I will use plan 5 and section 3 in mind.
